Opposite the shores of Thessalia you will find the Northern Sporades,
picturesque Aegean islands, to which many vacationers gather every
year. It is known for its golden sands, its crystal clear waters
and its quaint little villages with their own color and cultures
that offer to a visitor unforgettable holidays. In comparison
to the more southern islands of the Aegean, the Sporades are verdurous
and the forests reach all the way to the beaches, enchanting even
the most demanding visitor. The close distances between the islands
are the perfect excuse for quick one-day excursions or weekend
getaways. Since there is a frequent ferry timetable to and from
mainland Greece as well as in between the island, it is easy to
reach the islands. The ferry trip is extremely pleasurable especially
if you are lucky enough to have the dolphins accompanying you
all the way there. Northern Sporades are completed by Skiathos,
Skopelos, Alonissos and Skiros.

The Marina is situated in the main port of Skiathos. The transfer from the marina to the airport takes about 5 minutes. It is surrounded by small taverns, quality restaurants, coffee shops and bars. You can also find supermarkets and grocery stores within a walkable distance from the marina. Water and fuel will be easily provided

Weather
The prevailing wind in the summer is the Meltemi blowing
from the NE. The Meltemi begins fitfully in June, blows
strongest in July and August, and dies at the end of September
and October. In July and August it can reach Force 4-6.
In the spring and autumn the wind is again predominantly
from the north but not as strong.
